The partnership between content specialist WhatsOnWhen and Columbus owner Nexus Business Media will also see the integration of material from both providers, including destination guides, mapping, weather and events.
Other major clients using Columbus Travel Guides include RBS, Voyages Jules Verne, It’s The Way to Travel and Hogg Robinson Group.
The deal is a major development for WhatsOnWhen following its acquisition by US-based John Wiley & Sons in 2007.
It will now have a direct relationship with a string of major league travel clients and other consumer brands as well as push forward with its existing client roster of Lastminute.com, Expedia, Travelocity, British Airways and Eurostar.
Director Joel Brandon-Bravo said: “We are already seeing a substantial shift in client spending on creating content rather than just pay per click advertising.
