A boutique hotel rooms search and booking platform has been launched after it attracted €800,000 in seed funding.

Initially covering Paris, MyRoomIn.com plans to expand into the London and Rome by the end of the year.

French investment firm Impala Group is backing the Paris-based online start-up.

The site features exclusive photos and information collected by local travel and hotel experts who have personally vetted every room and the surrounding area.

Rooms can be searched and refined using more than 125 different search criteria including free wi-fi, room size, concierge services, dining hours, food allergies.

MyRoomIn claims to guarantee the best rate available at the time of booking with no reservation fees, and that travellers will get the exact room they chosen – not a substitution.

MyRoomIn Paris has nine different lifestyle categories including: Historic, Hip, Glamorous, Garden, Elegant, Mythical, Panorama, Artsy, and Bohemian, each with their own description of what makes them unique, plus information on local neighbourhoods.

Chief executive and co-founder, Jeremie Manigne, said: “MyRoomIn was created to alleviate the uncertainty that often comes with booking a hotel room.

“Many websites offer hotel search, but none offer search down to the specific room type without regard to the hotel.

“Travellers can now skip the process of searching for hundreds of hotels and room categories, and no longer have to ask themselves, ‘Are the online room photos a true representation of the room where I’ll stay? Will it have the same view? What will the actual decor look like?’

“Now they can search for and book the perfect hotel room, and know with confidence that it is the exact room they’ll stay in upon arrival.”
