Ben Clarke-Smith comes into the newly created position having had various client servicing roles at GAPbuster Worldwide, Ultimate Feed, Groupon and Yahoo.

Feefo said he has been brought in “to ensure that each customer touch point results in seamless integration, undertake dedicated account reviews and offer a support system that ensures success”.

Andrew Mabbutt, chief executive of Feefo, said: “We are delighted to have Ben Clarke-Smith join us as part of our expanding global leadership team.

“Our priority is to have the best people, the best structure and the best processes in place to ensure all client interactions across the Feefo system are world class and with Ben’s client services experience, he fits the bill.”

Feefo has seen rapid adoption in the UK travel industry over the last five years during which time it targeted travel as a key vertical and won key clients like Expedia.

The firm’s UK headquarters in Petersfield was established in 2010 and it now employs over 70 staff and works with over 2,000 merchants globally.

Clarke-Smith said: “I am thrilled to be joining Feefo at the beginning of their biggest and most exciting year to date.

“My newly created role is to ensure that the success of our customers is at the forefront of everything our onboarding, account management and support teams do.

“This will enhance our clients’ ability to listen, respond and build trust with their customers, helping them to build their business, see improved retention and increase onsite and in-store sales volumes.”
