Travelport has released the latest version of its Smartpoint agency selling platform, offering greater rich content and access to airline fares.
Smartpoint 6.0 is available as a download to the desktop app or as an automated upgrade.
Travelport said it provides agents with “further capabilities to advise their customers about the entire range of products, optional services and offers available from the airlines that Travelport distributes”.
Users will be able to access airline branded fares and ancillaries at the availability, fare quote and fare shop stages of the booking process, Travelport said.
The upgrade has been designed to provide the traveller with a greater range of options to help them tailor their travel requirements more specifically to their requirements.
Other enhancements include reducing the number of clicks required to access important information and the ability for agents to book and pay for low-cost carriers using debit cards in addition to credit cards within the same booking workflow.
