Princess Cruises has launched a dedicated site for the UK market as part of a wider drive to provide more online information for customers and agents.
Visitors to Princess.com will be automatically re-directed to a UK-focused site featuring products in pound sterling and information for the UK-based travel trade.
Other new functionality include an Agent Locator section and Searchlight, a tool to allow users to search and compare different Princess products.
The decision to launch a UK-targeted site comes despite news that sales of Princess’ products through the travel trade account for 95% of its overall distribution.
Pieter van der Schee, head of brand marketing for Princess Cruises, said: “I’m not expecting any real change in our distribution and we will continue to spend a major part of our annual budget on joint activity with travel agents to advertise Princess, both online and offline.”
