The Telegraph Media Group is reviewing its travel search contract currently held by TravelSupermarket.

Travolution understands the review is a statutory element of the existing contract – signed in early-2007 – but the process is likely to include expanding the service to include the Telegraph’s burgeoning Expat service for overseas users.

Flight search facilities run by Global Travel Market were added to the Expat channel on Telegraph.co.uk in the New Year.

The travel and Expat channels are currently run as separate units of the Telegraph site although it is expected that the two will be closer aligned later in 2008.

Search on the main travel channel currently handles only outbound trips and hotels while the Expat facility concentrates on overseas users looking for flights to the UK.

Global Travel Market, like TravelSupermarket, has secured a string of meta search white label deals over the course of the last 12 months including Lonely Planet and Time Out.

TravelSupermarket operates white labels for the Guardian and Virgin Media.

The Telegraph, TravelSupermarket and GTM were unavailable for comment.
