Hospitality guest-facing technology provider iRiS Software Systems has agreed an integration with content platform Fiz.
The deal means that Fiz travel content will be integrated into the iRiS Valet suite of products that provide hotel guests with a virtual concierge service.
Hotels using iRiS Guest, Mobile or Web Valet can choose the content they want to display on their application from 30,000 global points of interest which have received Fiz’s direct seal of approval.
These include attractions, landmarks, theatres, restaurants, and other leisure hotspots and information includes opening times, exact location and visitor information.
This data can be combined with crowd-sourced social, image and review content to create a real-time ‘digital footprint’ of the location.
Hotels can add new places and more of their own content, creating a bespoke and customised experience for their guests.
Chris Atkin, chief commercial officer at iRiS Software Systems, said: “Fiz is the first in their space.
“Their algorithms curate and generate real-time content on all the world’s popular travel and leisure places and have made it possible to create a complete platform that features the best and most useful information.
“This means we can now enable guests to explore the hotel surroundings in a completely unique and interactive way ultimately improving their stay, which is what iRiS Software Systems is all about.
“This is the beginning of a great partnership and we’ll keep working with Fiz to develop content and services to further enhance the guest experience by making it even more relevant, engaging and exciting.”
Sarah Hughes, co-founder of Fiz, said : “The travel industry needs to deliver compelling experiences for brands to grow their business and this is what drives the development of our technology.
“This partnership will enable hotels using iRiS’ outstanding range of products to further delight their guests, enabling them to check out the local area in real-time with engaging content on local hotspots.
“iRiS has a superb reputation in the hotel industry and we are looking forward to working closely with them as this partnership develops.”
