Travel Network Group set to launch Honeycomb 2 after agreeing Comtec deal

The Travel Network Group is poised to launch phase two of its ‘Honeycomb’ dynamic packaging system by the end of this month.

The Travel Network Group is poised to launch phase two of its ‘Honeycomb’ dynamic packaging system by the end of this month.

Managing director Gary Lewis said the next level would be more responsive, much quicker and loaded with far more differentiated product than the original version.

He said it would also have better feeds of inventory and more competitive net prices for members to control their margins.

“Over 580 of our members are engaged with Honeycomb but we needed to take it to the next stage, which is about scalability in terms of engagement and volume.

“We were running Honeycomb in-house previously ?but have now taken on Comtec to supply all the feeds and the tech behind it. This is a huge investment from us for our members. We listened to them and are adding value.”

Lewis is hoping all 810 members will sign up once phase two is launched.

TTNG said it had also been engaging more actively with its members to establish how they interact with their customers and to see how they can improve their members’ customer segmentation and acquisition.

“We are offering true business development,” said Lewis.
