Customers can now have a paperless airport experience, using their mobile boarding passes – which can be downloaded after checking-in online – via the apps.

Other features include shopping for in-flight extras and upgrading seats.

John Boughton, director of ancillaries and commercial for Thomson and First Choice, said: “We want to continue to develop our digital capabilities to enhance the customer experience at every step of their journey, whether they’re preparing for their holiday or actually at their destination.

“These innovative mobile apps are a one stop shop for everything our customers need for their holiday.”

The Thomson and First Choice apps are available for use on iPhone and iPad and Android phones and tablets.
