Hotelzon sets its sights on German expansion

Hotel distribution technology provider Hotelzon is expanding into Germany and strengthening its product development team in Finland.

The move into Germany means the Hotelzon network has grown from four to 12 countries since Travelport acquired the company a year ago.

Hotelzon’s 12th office is based in Frankfurt and will be headed by local sales manager, Thomas Specht.

Specht joins from internet marketing company, Weever Medial, where he was head of international business development.

The company has appointed of Antti Pyykkönen as product manager and Gustav Gnosspelius as product communications manager in Finland.

Niklas Andreen, Travelport’s hospitality and digital media senior vice president, said: “Hotelzon continues to invest in and prioritise both its on-going expansion and also its focus on product differentiation and innovation.

“The team remains totally committed to significantly enhancing our travel commerce capability to meet the requirements of our growing corporate customer base.”
