Travelport-owned B2B hotel distribution technology provider Hotelzon has recruited a UK sales manager and expanded into Spain.

Andy Braisdell will be based in Manchester, joining from security supplier company Commsec, where he was business development manager.

The new Spanish operations will be based in Madrid, headed by local sales manager, Guillermo Braña, who joins from electronics and technology retail firm Worten.

The company has also strengthened its presence in France, with the appointment of Sean Cosnard as the country’s sales manager. He previously held senior roles at hotel booking system HRS and travel management company ATPI.

The developments form part of ongoing expansion plans for the business since Travelport acquired Hotelzon last year.

Travelport hospitality and digital media group vice president, Niklas Andreen, said: “These latest appointments build on the growing sales team that we are establishing across Europe, where we have seen the Hotelzon network grow from four to 11 countries in the last six months, marking a continuation of Travelport’s strategy to heighten its focus on the hotel and corporate travel space.”
