Dolphin Dynamics’ online booking technology is to be introduced by International Cruise & Excursions (ICE) across European markets.
Deployment of the new service has already started in France, Hungary and Finland, with a second phase to include Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Supported by real time links to suppliers including Amadeus, Hotelbeds, Tourico, AVIS and Holiday Taxis, the online booking technology will enable ICE customers across Europe to search, price and book flights, accommodation, car hire and transfers.
Integration with Dolphin’s back office suite will provide for a high degree of automation in both booking management and fulfilment, according to the technology supplier.
The new technology roll out is an extension of an existing partnership which has seen ICE use Dolphin back-office technology to support its European operations since 2010.
John Rowley, chief executive and chairman of ICE, said: “The development of our online booking capability is a key part of ICE’s future growth plans.
“Working with Dolphin ensures we can provide a consistently high-level of online service to our customers across international markets, whilst streamlining our operational and business reporting processes.”
Andy Mills, head of sales and marketing at Dolphin Dynamics, added: “Deploying an integrated online and offline technology platform using Dolphin makes great sense for customers with an international client base to grow sales, whilst avoiding fragmented and costly back-end processes.”
