Holland America creates tablet app to showcase Alaskan content

The app offers the best of the line’s Alaska brochure, website and other collateral in a mobile tool.

Functionality includes an interactive map with destination details and excursion options, as well as a sample of the line’s Glacier Bay podcasts.

The app can be used to view different itinerary options and route maps, and to personalise travel plans.

Once a day-by-day itinerary is finalised, a PDF flyer to email can be created with the swipe of a finger.

Apple, Android and Windows tablet users can download the app for free in their respective app stores.

For those without a tablet, there is also a ‘desktop viewer’ offering the same rich content with mouse-click navigation.
