Ryanair debuts on Instagram to promote how it is ‘always getting better’

Budget airline Ryanair has added Instagram to its growing list of social media channels.

Budget airline Ryanair has added Instagram to its growing list of social media channels.

The account will carry behind-the-scenes images of life at the airline, as well as shots of the 190 destinations it serves.

It will also allow customers to share their favourite Ryanair photos through the @Ryanair account.

Ryanair is already active on Twitter with 150,000 followers, YouTube and LinkedIn and says further platforms will follow, as part of its ‘Always Getting Better’ programme.

Robin Kiely, head of communications, said: “Ryanair is pleased to launch our new Instagram account as we continue to grow our social media presence and offering.

“We are already the fastest responding airline on Twitter, while our YouTube videos have been viewed over three million times, and we look forward to branching out onto other social platforms in the coming months.

“To celebrate our Instagram launch, we’re giving away five €100 flight vouchers. Customers should pull their best ‘wingsie’ post their pic on Instagram and tag our @Ryanair account.”
