Holiday Taxis’ Conxxe launches on-demand transfer booking platform for trade partners

Holiday Taxis’ global brand Conxxe has started offering its trade clients on-demand transfer bookings for this summer.

Holiday Taxis’ global brand Conxxe has started offering its trade clients on-demand transfer bookings for this summer.

The firm partners with OTAs, traditional travel agencies and airlines to provide ground transportation.

Through the already established Holiday Taxis it launched last year at the annual PhocusWright conference in Los Angeles, offering pre-booked transfers.

But increasing demand for immediate bookings in destination has prompted it to develop an on-demand platform that will enable mobile bookings.

Peter Hilton, chief executive of Conxxe and Holiday Taxis, said: “Since 2002, our airline and OTA customers have used our technology platform, globally, to increase their ground transportation ancillary revenues.

“The certainty that comes with all-inclusive pricing, secure booking, quality service and immediate confirmation remains as valid today as it did in 2002.

“But airlines and OTA’s have demanded that we extend our platform to support mobile first and real-time transfer products.

“Their customers want to book transfers whilst waiting to depart in airport departure lounges and onboard using in-flight Wi-Fi. They want to use their mobile devices to find their driver easily on arrival.

“They want to use our reliable and trusted ground transportation network once at their destination and be able to book that service with an on-demand basis.

“Our goal is to provide the best possible ground transport solution for our customers, these new developments are a massive step forward to making any journey simpler and stress free.”

Currently Conxxe offers ground transportation in over 9,000 cities across more than 100 countries around the world.

Current pre-book ground transportation partners include easyJet, Lastminute.com parent Bravofly Rumbo, British Airways, Transavia and Unister.

Connxe said there would be more partner announcements in coming months.

Cian Kennedy, senior vice-president of e-commerce at Conxxe and Holiday Taxis, said: “I believe we’re the first global ground transportation provider to fuse an established, high quality pre-book network with an on-demand model.

“It’s just not an either/or decision for our business partners. They need both pre-book and on-demand products which we deliver this choice through our mobile platform.

“Our distribution partners want to brand it and deploy it through their app store accounts, which our white-label product supports.

“Our OTA partners want to embed our solution in their apps to increase utilization, we’re giving them this.

“We’re increasing touch points with global travel brands while monetising customers in resort, it’s a win-win for all parties but most importantly it’s a value added solution for the customers.”
