Cheapflights looks to keep things simple with new Canada site launch

Cheapflights has continued the global roll out of its metasearch offering in English speaking markets, with the launch of a new Canadian site.

Cheapflights.ca has been redesigned to make finding flights and hotels to fit customers’ needs simpler and more intuitive. It’s re-launch is accompanied with the strapline ‘simplicity is fly’.

The firm, part of the momondo Group, cited research that suggests 40% of Canadians are frustrated by overly complicated technology at least once a week.

It also claimed 57% have vowed never to use a particular website or app because it is too complicated or annoying.

Samantha Otter, head of customer communications at Cheapflights, said: “As the pioneers of online travel price comparison, Cheapflights has always made connecting travellers with travel deals its core mission.

“With the new Cheapflights.ca, we are now giving Canadians a travel search experience that is as simple as it is effective.

“From a focus on clean design that makes it fast and easy to find the right flight or hotel for you to plans for added features that make finding and planning trips tailored to your needs, Cheapflights.ca is ushering in a new era for travel search – one built around simplicity.”

Cheapflights.ca searches both airline direct website and agencies for the best offers, ensure the cheapest, quickest and best value are highlighted as customer filter their requirements.

It also allows travellers to pair up different airlines on the outbound and return, and see key information like length of stopover and the prices from different agents.

The hotel search allows customers to see when the peak bookings times are and to search for deals and discounts on offer from hotels.

The site also offers users information they need while on their trip and is fully responsive so it can be accessed while on the move.
