Traveltek granted highest level PCI compliance for its payment solutions

Travel agency and operator selling systems provider Traveltek has been granted the highest payment security accreditation.

Travel agency and operator selling systems provider Traveltek has been granted the highest payment security accreditation.

The Glasgow-based firm says it has invested a six figure sum in becoming a Level 1 PCI Compliant service provider.

Confirmation of the accreditation ends an 18-month process the firm underwent with NTT Europe, the leading cloud hosting company that Travetek has worked with since 2002.

Compliance means Traveltek’s tier one customers do not have to send payments off to a third-party for fulfilment, but offer their clients a single consistent shopping and buying experience on their site.

Richard Smith, development director, said this means Traveltek’s customers can continue to offer the best user experience to their own customers.

“We spent a long time coming up with solutions that didn’t require our clients to compromise.

“Making all of our payment solutions PCI compliant, on the web, in iSell and through our API was the only way to do that.

“We went the extra mile to make sure all our travel industry clients could still do what they needed to run their business, but with the added benefit of knowing it was all secure, certified and globally recognized as such.”

Kenny Picken, president and group managing director of Traveltek, added: “Online security is something all travel businesses need to be concerned with which is why we’re investing so heavily to make sure we’re leading the way in that regard.

“Becoming PCI Compliant reaffirms our commitment to continuous improvement, bringing technology benefits to all our customers and making sure none of them get left behind as the digital economy continues to increase its pace.”
