French ticketing firm KelBillet is bringing its travel search engine technology to the UK, branded as Gopili.

The French site offers rates on more than 80,000 journey options, with users able to book trips by train, coach, air and even by using a carpool.

Carpooling options for Gopili.co.uk are to be provided by Blablacar UK. Other transport options currently include National Express, Eurolines, Loco2 and ebookers, with Gopili aiming to expand the number of suppliers available.

KelBillet founder Yann Raoul said: “We have decided to create a new brand for this new service which aims to provide visitors with the best travel options for domestic journeys in each European country.”

Promotional campaigns for Gopili are to be based on the techniques that have made KelBillet one of the top travel search engines in France in just five years.

Rodolphe Morfoise-Gauthier, who is responsible for KelBillet’s web marketing, said: “We are the leading multimodal search engine in France with our brand “KelBillet” and have already a strong knowledge about this industry.

“We plan to use all marketing channels for Gopili UK. We’ll do more online than offline communication but we remain open to any potential communication opportunities”.

Kelbillet plans further development in other western European countries during the course of 2015.
