EECSoftware has announced the launch of Darwin, an integrated solution designed to meet the needs of small independent, niche travel companies.

The travel sector systems specialist said it had identified a clear need for a solution that brings together the worlds of front-end web and back office systems into a ‘single’ platform.

Tim Butterworth, founder of EECSoftware, said it was this fundamental principle that led to the creation of Darwin, the firm’s flagship product.

Butterworth said: “It is this innovative cloud based solution design that we are very proud of which enables us to deliver comprehensive capabilities for tour operators at an affordable cost.

“We are also pleased that our new approach has been recognised by industry bodies – in particular we are delighted to have been accepted as an Aito Affiliate and a Travel Industry Partner for Abta”.

EECSoftware said it has now completed the expansion of its development team to support all of its clients.

It says it has implemented a scalable offshore development model “which now positions the company to not only grow rapidly to support existing customers, but also to accelerate new client implementations.”

To meet increased demand the firm recruited Paul Cowley from The Travel Rep Ltd, to lead its sales expansion.

Butterworth added: “Bringing in Paul and with the expansion of the development team, this further strengthens support for our current customers and those currently in implementation, as well as strengthening our ability to develop and meet the needs of potential new customers within the UK Travel Sector.”
