Virgin Limited Edition launches social hashtag campaign

Luxury operator Virgin Limited Edition has launched a new social media hashtag campaign to encourage travellers to share their experiences.

The campaign #VLEtravels WITH PURPOSE will offer the winning person a three-night stay for two people at Ulusaba Private Game Reserve in South Africa. All meals, drinks, twice daily game drives and an experience with charity Pride n’ Purpose will be included.

Participants can now enter by following @virginlimitededition on Instagram and hashtag a ‘winner worthy’ photo with #VLEtravels. The same hashtag can also be used with photos on Twitter and Facebook.

Profiles need to be public in order for photos to be viewed by Sir Richard Branson, who will choose the winner on September 30.

The goal of the campaign is to encourage social media users to show the impact guests can have on the community they travel to, the difference it can make in the lives of those that live there and how it enriches the life of the person travelling.

Virgin Limited Edition said this can be done by meeting the locals or buying local, trying a new cuisine, volunteering in the nearby community and more.
