Travelzest is to roll out a technology platform across its Holiday.co.uk and Flight.co.uk brands and streamline management operations, including the departure of Carol Dray.

The existing technology platform built for Flight.co.uk by Alltria Technology, which operates alongside the Ypsilon data management syste, is to be extended to its sister brand over the next quarter.

Travelzest said as a result of significant technological improvements behind the scenes on the core brands and a re-alignment of their strategy, Dray will be leaving the company.

The two brands will now be managed by Robin Sutherland, who joined Travelzest from Expedia in April this year to oversee Holiday.co.uk. He had previously been director of retail at the online travel agency.

Dray, who left Thomas Cook less than 18 months ago and joined TravelZest in late-2006, is expected to stay on for a short period to oversee the completion of a number of key projects.

Chris Mottershead, chief executive of Travelzest, said: “Having made the decision to introduce the technology on Flight.co.uk we decided to merge the management team.”

Two other members of staff of Flight.co.uk will leave as a result of the restructuring.
