Evolvi Rail Systems appoints new managing director

Kirstie van Oerle switches from owner Capita

UK online self-booking rail tool Evolvi Rail Systems has appointed Kirstie van Oerle as its new managing director.

She moves to the position from within Capita PLC, which owns Evolvi, where she served as business development and marketing director, bringing “extensive technology and transport expertise to the role”, said Evolvi.

Having joined Capita in 2016, van Oerle previously worked in senior management positions for advanced technology and transport businesses, including Siemens, Atos, CGI and Arqiva.

Van Oerle said: “I am delighted to be joining Evolvi at such an exciting time. The company’s online rail booking and fulfilment technology is specified by some of the world’s leading travel brands, but new opportunities are also opening up.

“Consumers are increasingly booking travel online, investment in mobile ticketing is growing, and with National Rail soon to expand the datasets it makes available, we see potential for new partnerships with developers on rail-related products.”
