Esteban Walther, head of travel for Google Europe, is moving to a new position in the search engine to oversee its vertical markets in Latin America.


Walther will be replaced in the UK by Robin Frewer, who has joined from Opodo.


Frewer left Opodo in February 2007 after a year as group product director for the online travel agency, working across its markets in the UK, Italy, France and Germany.


Prior to joining Opodo, Frewer worked as a consultant to the First Choice Holidays group on its niche products across Europe.


He has also worked for Thomson in a variety of roles from 1997 to 2005 including head of strategy and development, head of strategy and integration, head of commercial and supplier management, and purchasing manager for strategic contracts.


Walther also joined Google from Opodo.
