dynamic sales rise

Online trade-only hotel provider has singled out the increase in dynamic packaging by travel agents as a source for its recent soaring sales figures.

The company revealed a 250% increase in sales for 2005 on the previous year, creating a turnover of £30 million.

The emerging trend for dynamic packaging by consumers, a relaxation of rules to allow agents to sell them without an ATOL and encouragement from industry bodies to use the Internet more productively is believed to be fuelling the growth.

Trustaccommodation product manager Simon Barnes said: “Now that agents are not required to obtain an ATOL to sell dynamically packaged or tailor-made holidays, they have greater flexibility and this will have a marked impact on our accommodation-only business.”
