Hostmaker names former Travelport strategy boss as chief operating officer

Former Travelport commercial strategy chief James Lemon has been named as chief operating officer of VC-backed homestay management firm Hostmaker.

He previously worked as global strategy and corporate development director at InterContinental Hotels Group.

Technology-driven property management company Hostmaker recently launched in Cannes, Florence and Madrid, building on a portfolio covering London, Barcelona, Rome, Paris and Lisbon.

It boasts the largest VC-backed homestay hospitality management team in Europe and has received £25 million investment to date.

Lemon is joining the company to support its rapid growth and operational scaling.

He said: “I’m excited to join Hostmaker to help the team deliver on their expansion plans in 2018 and for the long term.
