Spanish adult-only hotel brand TRS Hotels has unveiled a virtual concierge service for guests to use on their own smartphones, tablet or laptops.

The brand, which is owned by the Palladium Hotel Group, will introduce the new technology first at the TRS Yucatan Hotel which reopened in December after a refurbishment.

The services will be made available over the hotels’ wifi and allow guests to deal directly with their butler, housekeeping or restaurant and transportation staff.

TRS said guests will receive the option to log-in to the portal during their stay

As with other Palladium Hotel Group properties, TRS will also introduce RFID-enabled wristband room keys.

In-room interactive TVs will offer the latest films, a mirroring function for personal devices, and ES MOBILE which allows visitors to continue watching their favorite programs and films on their own devices outside of their hotel room.

There is also an App functionality allowing guests to connect to their own social networks, Skype or Netflix accounts, amongst other platforms.

To ensure privacy, TRS Hotels includes in-room sensing equipment allowing the butlers and service staff to know whether the guests are inside their rooms, simply by sliding their fingers over the device located outside the room.

The technology also extends to the hotel’s music, allowing the dedicated ‘vibe manager’ to adjust the playlists in any area of the hotel via his mobile device ensuring the correct holiday atmosphere.

After the Yucatan property, the technology will be rolled out to TRS Turquesa Hotel in Punta Cana, and TRS Coral Hotel, which will open in November 2018 in Costa Mujeres, north of Cancun, Mexico.
