G Adventures relaunches its Wanderers global influencer programme

Leading small group tour operator G Adventures has relaunched its Wanderers global influencer programme bringing together a team of 18 travel bloggers.

The firm said the programme is designed to “inspire travellers to explore the planet in a meaningful way, and to help change people’s lives through travel”.

The ‘digital storytellers’ all have their areas of expertise but collectively will be used by G Adventures to promote its style of travel covering destinations in 100 countries.

The operator has also issued an invite to bloggers and influencers, who are keen to promote travel that makes a difference, to join its affiliate programme or consider hosting a private group tour with their fans and followers.

Returning to the Wanderers programme, which was first launched in 2011, are founding members Audrey Scott and Daniel Noll, the responsible travel experts behind Uncornered Market, and Gary Arndt, an award-winning photographer and author of popular website Everything Everywhere.

Bruce Poon Tip, founder of G Adventures, says the power of social media gives the travel industry a huge voice in terms of education and change.

“The internet and social media have changed the way we see the world. We have a louder voice than ever before, and these influential storytellers and passionate travellers have strong platforms to communicate the positive impact travel can have.

“I believe travel can be the fastest path to peace, and the greatest distributer of wealth the world has seen. I’m thankful to have this team working with us to help spread these messages.

“Our Wanderers have each proven themselves to be bold, experienced travellers, and we can’t wait to welcome them on our trips and to have them share their stories with their fans and followers.”

As the new Wanderers programme evolves, G Adventures says it will welcome new members onboard to increase its impact.
