Air fare intelligence provider Infare names non-executive chairman

Travel technology executive Ian Wheeler is joining the board of air fare intelligence provider Infare as non-executive chairman.

Wheeler’s career includes 13 years at Amadeus plus roles at Thomas Cook, Hertz and OAG.

He has also been involved as a non-executive director at JacTravel, Vayant Travel Technologies, Cabforce, Traveltainment and Vacation.com.

He is currently president of Travelfusion, non-executive director of Tungsten Corporation and special partner in the travel and technology sector for private equity firm Vitruvian Partners, whose investments in travel have included Skyscanner, JacTravel and OAG.

Wheeler is the second recent senior addition to the team.
