Hospitality technology provider Guestline’s solutions have been installed at several hotel schools across the UK.

The schools train students on the platform and ensure the “hoteliers of the future” are proficient in all aspects of property management systems (PMS).

Guestline has worked with tutors and staff at each college to install the software and make sure students are getting the most out of it.

Hoteliers can use Guestline’s Rezlynx PMS to manage operations and boost occupancy at more profitable rates.

The Edge Hotel School, at Wivenhoe House Hotel in Colchester, is among the colleges where students can use the software on its two-year hospitality degree by putting theory into practice on the systems.

At Dumfries & Galloway College, which has 35 hospitality courses, students can take a module in Rezlynx.

East Kent College is also training students on Guestline’s technology via the Yarrow hotel on its Broadstairs Campus.

Emma Johnstone, vice president of business development at Guestline, said: “It is increasingly important for anyone coming into a hotel environment to understand the value of their technology systems and how the right tools can translate into operational efficiencies, hence the rationale for building our relationship with hospitality colleges across the country.

“By working with a growing number of training colleges and introducing Guestline into their hospitality programmes, we’re confident that the hoteliers of the future will be even better qualified with the skills necessary to utilise their PMS to maximum efficiency and achieve the best possible results.”

  • Guestline has also appointed Robert Vogt as director of business development, Benelux. His role is responsible for delivering sales and revenue growth within the market and identifying new business opportunities. Prior to joining Guestline, he was director of sales PMS at Amadeus IT Group.
