Airfare and hotel price tracking specialist Yapta has integrated its service with leading European global distribution system Amadeus.

The deal means corporate clients that use Amadeus are able to access Yapta’s FareIQ and RoomIQ to make savings at all points of sale.

James Filsinger, president and chief executive of Yapta, said: “Yapta has helped thousands of customers achieve their cost savings goals with no disruption to their travel program.

“Naturally, customers that utilize Amadeus as part of their global programs were anxious to extend the savings to those points of sale.

“The Amadeus footprint, particularly in the European travel market, is the largest of its kind and will enable thousands of companies around the world to immediately utilize our price assurance solutions to reduce travel costs and establish new confidence in their travel programs.”

Amadeus serves up pricing for more than 90,000 travel agency locations and more than 58,000 airline sales offices in approximately 200 markets worldwide.

The system provides access to bookable content from 435 airlines, 280 hotel chains and 87,000 hotels around the world.

The addition of Amadeus extends Yapta’s current GDS coverage, which includes Sabre and Apollo. Yapta plans to launch on the Galileo GDS in mid-2018.

Yapta’s price tracking technology is used by more than 7,000 companies and claims to have delivered more than $120 million in total combined savings.

On average, Yapta customers realize a total trip savings of $369 per trip by tracking both airfare and hotel prices, the firm claimed.
