TTE2018: Finalists revealed for 2018 Disrupt Award and online voting open

Travel Technology Europe has unveiled its 15 finalists for this year’s Disrupt Awards for start-ups.

The awards have been created to pick out the most pioneering new products and services at the show.

Online voting has now opened for you to choose favourite innovator and the top 5 votes will be shortlisted to take part in a Dragon’s Den style pitch-off at the event to win the 2018 Disrupt Awards title.

The winner will receive a marketing and PR campaign worth £5,000 and a free stand for the show in 2019 worth £8,000 and more.

The 15 shortlisted finalists:

Awaymo – A revolving travel credit account that enables you to book travel for only 15% upfront, spreading the rest of the trip over 10 equal monthly instalments.

Dynamic Reservation – An enterprise SaaS platform that greatly enhances travel agencies’ sales productivity and profitability.

Guideloom – Advance purchasing, mobile app purchasing, and POS services for mitigating crowds and queues at events, festivals and concerts.

Guidewiser – A hotel guest communication platform powered by Artificial Intelligence and   Chatbot  technology which helps hotels to provide better travel experiences and get more direct bookings.

TurnedSee– Hotel4Meetings launched TurnedSee in January 2018, the world’s first online marketplace allowing hotels and venues to showcase their MICE offering, to buyers through interactive 360 virtual tours and immersive Virtual Reality technology.

Ho[s]teloffer – Launched in January 2018 to develop sales proposal software for hotels and hostels. It allows hotels and hostels  to dispense with old fashion ways of sending offers with pdf attachments that are not readable on some mobile devices. Ho[s[telOffer Online generates the offer in less than two minutes, without the need to check different systems or write intro e-mails.

iBookedin – B2C Marketplace launched in March 2017 . It claims to be the first fully integrated global distribution system (GDS) for meetings spaces that permits venues and bookers to transact online seamlessly. Through its integrations with booking partners and hotels it aims to make booking meetings as easy as booking bedrooms online.

Protected Trust Services – Launched in November 2017 Protected Trust Services offers a complete cloud based solution, that is affordable and easy to use, for all types of travel firms. The PTS Travel solution incorporates, merchant acquiring, insurance, ATOL, PTS travel software and complete Package Travel Regulation compliance.

Room Advantage – launched last to digitally streamline day-to-day hotel operations, and give managers and owners the peace of mind knowing their hotel is running smoothly. Staff, room, and task management are all integrated, and every employee receives clear ‘to-do list’ every time they come to work.

Sujester – Launched in September 2016 Sujester helps travel companies provide personalised inspirational content to their customers, to help them plan their long term travel, helping travel companies with customer retention and growth via digital word of mouth.

Swayy – Launched a year ago Swayy is an online influencer booking, campaign and relationship management tool, specifically for the hospitality industry. It enables hotels to find, book and maintain relationships with relevant pre-vetted influencers in a streamlined process.

TourCast – Launched in the summer of 2017 in Rome, Italy. Its mobile application transforms tourists’ smartphones into a radio listening devices during guided tours, allowing tour participants to walk freely and still listen to their tour guide through their phone. It means tour operators can do away with conventional radios.

Tubular Systems – launched in 2016, the firm designs and develops contemporary, compact and technological kiosks to assist and solve everyday issues primarily for the travel industry which in turn provides excellent customer services to the traveller.

Wanup  – Launched in 2016, and based in Barcelona, Wanup is a new kind of loyalty club offering immediate rewards and a diverse collection of hotels, so guests can enjoy the perks of a loyalty club, without feeling restrained to stay within one hotel chain. Wanup uses the sharing economy to bring together top-guest rated hotels into one alliance.

Whym – Launched in January 2017whym makes the professional interpreter a traveller’s best friend- and their first port of call. Unlike other translate apps Whym uses real, human interpreters and not machines and puts all language services- whether that’s a live interpreter or document translation- in one, easy to use app. No hardware. No clever headphones. Just your mobile phone.
