A technology expert has been named in the new role of commercial director for Gray Dawes Group.

David Bishop has spent more than 15 years in leadership roles in business travel, most recently as global business development vice president at Atriis Technologies.

He will be responsible for leading the development of the group’s long-term strategy covering corporate performance, sales development and key supplier management.

The Colchester-based travel management company has four other sites in London, Leamington Spa, Cambridge and Amersham.

It has made five acquisitions in the past three years, including the takeover of CTM Travel Management completed last month.

Group CEO Suzanne Horner said: “I am delighted to have David join the leadership team in this new strategic role completing a sensational 2017 for the business.

“David’s experience in technology combined with his knowledge of and reputation in the corporate travel market place will be invaluable as we optimise our investment in the company’s growth in the UK and more widely through our partnership with Radius Travel.”
