Online flight search, booking and ticketing service Aviate World has announced double digit sales growth in October, the strongest month in the company’s trading history.

Ticket sales were up 47% year-on-year with group tickets 300% up on October 2016 and inclusive tour up 100%.

The number of tickets booked Australia was up 30% year-on-year and the company reported a notable rise in the number of Qantas tickets sold.

Aviate’s managing director, Michael Edwards, said:  “It’s fantastic to see such strong results for October and a real testament to the efforts of the team.

“We’ve got lots of exciting developments planned for 2018 so I’m confident that our performance will continue to go from strength to strength.”

In 2014/15, Aviate worked with 10 airlines, generating £21.2m revenue. In 2015/16 and 2016/17 revenue was at £38.7m and £60.7m respectively. Now the company works with 50 airlines and is on schedule to generate £94m revenue in 2017/18.

It offers its services both to the trade and direct to consumers.
