Altovita launches in bid to rival Airbnb in Europe

A new holiday rentals service has launched in Europe in a bid to take on Airbnb.

Booking platform Altovita claims to “remove the hit and miss nature of short-term accommodation”

Altovita says all of the accommodation it offers has been handpicked, reviewed and professionally inspected by its team of home curators and assessed against a listing criteria to ensure standards are met.

Each listing is then awarded a number of ‘Altos’, depending on how it fares across the criteria. The more Altos a property has, the better its score.

It has launched in the eastern European cities of Vienna, Budapest and Prague.

Altovita’s curators have creates travel guides for each listing based on local knowledge of the destinations.
