Reservation platform provider intuitive has collaborated with Amadeus so that it can integrate the latter’s hotel content within six weeks.

The firms say the tour operators, OTAs (online travel agencies) and wholesalers using intuitive’s iVector platform can see the content in “record times” following the collaboration.

London-based intuitive now has more than 200 third party supplier connections.

Commercial director Andy Keeley said: “We’ve had a close relationship with Amadeus for many years and it’s fantastic to get the feedback we have from them. As one of the world’s largest software companies, to hear we’re writing their interfaces, in record times, is outstanding.”

“We’re really pleased that due to this success, our customers will now be able to start using Amadeus Hotels quicker than expected and start driving bookings.”

Amadeus’ GDS connects hotel chains, representation companies, aggregators and independent hotels to travel agencies. It supplies more than two million shopping options and more than 580,000 hotel properties.

Clare de Bono, head of product and innovation for Amadeus in the UK, said: “Working with intuitive to make the growing portfolio of Amadeus Hotels content available through iVector is a significant development for the market.

“Online Travel Agents and Tour Operators can make healthy commissions on the sale of accommodation and it enables them to offer more choice and provide a personalised and door-to-door travel booking experience, which is what travellers are looking for.”
