Car rental broker DriveAway has launched in the UK and is targeting the travel trade.

Part of the Auto Europe Group, which was founded in 1954, DriveAway says it offers travel agents a “one stop shop” to access car rental in more than 180 countries and 20,000 locations worldwide.

It claims to provide a “simple online booking process, an easy navigation menu and totally transparent car hire supply”.

DriveAway already operates in the USA, Canada and Australia and is in the process of building up relationships in the UK.

It has signed a deal with the Advantage Travel Partnership, whose senior commercial manager Claire Brighton said: “We’re delighted to be in partnership with DriveAway at such an important time for them as they launch in the UK. We look forward to working with them and supporting them in building relationships with our members.”

A DriveAway spokesman said: “DriveAway is able to offer a one stop shop for all your car rental needs and offers excellent rates with all the major car rental companies, endorsed by Auto Europe’s credibility in the business, buying power and reputation.
