Customer communications technology specialist d-flo has made two senior appointments to steer it through its next stage of growth.

Chartered accountant Bill Procter will take the role of chairman and head of audit committee and is joined by software firms ITRS Group chief executive Guy Warren as non-executive director.

D-flo said the new appointments will strengthen the company’s expertise in financial matters, wider business skills and overall governance.

Procter also heads a property group established in 1996 that employs 180 staff and has an annual turnover of in excess of £60 million.

Warren has more than 30 years’ experience in financial services and technology businesses holding positions such as chief operating officer of FTSE Group, European vice-president and general manager of Misys Banking and chief executive of Logica UK.

As well as bolstering the leadership team at d-flo the appointments will support the firm as it pursues a growth strategy to expand into Europe and further afield.

Colin Brimson, chief executive and co-founder of d-flo, said: “These two appointments demonstrate our commitment to providing our customers and partners with a ‘best in class’ service.

“The new members of the d-flo team will use their talents to focus on helping plan how we scale up.

“We have ambitious plans for d-flo and now have a team that demonstrates strength in depth. We see a wealth of opportunity for the business in travel and beyond.”

d-flo has seen rapid growth since its launch in 2011 and has large client base of travel brands including Great Rail Journeys, Neilson Active Holidays, Hurtigruten and Riviera Travel.

Last month the company launched CrisisComms, a solution that empowers businesses with the ability to reach customers with essential advice, information and warnings in an emergency.
