Traveltek appoints Scott Hanney to new customer delivery role

Scott Hanney has joined Traveltek Group in the newly-created role of general manager, customer services delivery.

The new position has been created to support the travel technology specialist’s global expansion plans.

Hanney, a specialised operations and business support manager with almost two decades of industry experience, will head a new customer service team.

He was previously operations manager at Valmar Handling Services, a manufacturer based like Traveltek in East Kilbride in Scotland.

Hanney, who will report to chief operating officer, Kirsty Orr, will lead a 25-strong team of customer service specialists and account managers. More dedicated staff are expected to be recruited.

Hanney’s appointment continues Traveltek’s recruitment drive, spearheaded by president and chief executive Kenny Picken, who secured £5.3 million investment from private equity fund manager YFM at the end of 2016 to plough into product development and international expansion
