Yahoo! Travel Search has signed deals with leading international airlines Emirates and Singapore Airlines for them to join its portfolio of partners.

The move comes as an increasing number of long-haul holidays are booked online and the majority of commonly searched items on Yahoo! Travel are for destinations such as Dubai, Bangkok and Melbourne.

The two airlines will join the likes of long-haul operators such as British Airways, KLM and
Air France on the Yahoo! portfolio.

Commercial manager of Yahoo! Travel, Wayne Morris, said: “These new partnerships with Emirates and Singapore airlines indicate that prestige airlines are recognising the value of specialist travel search and the potential of the marketing opportunities it offers.”

The partnerships can be extended to include “additional services” and other opportunities within the Yahoo! Travel channel.
