Online booking specialist eviivo has partnered with low cost carrier Ryanair so that its portfolio can be searched and booked on Ryanair Rooms.

It links Europe’s largest airline, which carries 120 million passengers a year, to a booking platform for more than 6,000 independent hotels and B&Bs, with options ranging from boutique hotels to castles, windmills, yurts and converted train carriages.

Many properties have fewer than 10 rooms, and will now be able to tap in to Ryanair’s customer base.

Thomas Messett, chief marketing officer, eviivo, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing the best of independent accommodation to Ryanair’s customer base. A stay in a unique B&B or independent hotel is often a richer and more memorable experience, and we believe our customers represent the very best of hospitality.

“This new partnership will enable even the smallest of B&Bs to sell their rooms directly to Ryanair’s extensive international customer base for the first time.”

Ryanair’s director of ancillary revenue Greg O’Gorman said: “The partnership will give our customers direct easy access to a diverse portfolio of exceptional accommodation.”
