An integrated platform for car rentals and other forms of ground transportation is being implemented by Rentalcars Connect for Finnair.

The aim is to provide the airline’s passengers with more transportation choices via one platform, including car hire, taxis, executive transfers, buses and trains.

Users can book ground transportation in their preferred language and currency in locations across the globe, including Finnair destinations in Europe, Asia, the Americas and Middle East.

Rentalcars Connect managing director, Fraser Ellacott, said: “We’re finding that our partners are becoming increasingly interested in broader one-stop-shop solutions that offer more customer choice across a suite of ground transportation products.

“A simple, frictionless experience for our partner’s customers is the goal.”

Finnair head of ancillary sales, Anni Ahnger, said: “As we were already in the process of offering car rentals to our customers, we really wanted a way to enhance the product offering further.

“Rentalcars Connect have provided us with a great solution that now gives us the chance to offer our customers private and public transport offerings alongside car rentals within one platform, creating a seamless, end-to-end customer journey.”
