Bedbank Hotelbeds Group is to connect to InterContinental Hotels Group´s central reservation system to give access to the hotel giant’s 12 brands.
Content covering more than 5,000 hotels worldwide will be available, covering brands such as InterContinental, Kimpton, HUALUXE, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn.
Rates, inventory and availability will be fully controlled by the hotels and transmitted in real-time via IHG’s booking system via Hotelbeds Group´s distribution network active across more than 120 markets.
The deal is designed to improve distribution of IHG´s hotels and increase sales from all source markets.
The new agreement has a strong focus on wholesale and retail distribution.
IHG distribution and revenue management senior vice president, Andrew Rubinacci, said: “This is a landmark deal for us and helps further our wholesale strategy by moving towards dynamic pricing and away from property based static rate agreements.
