Potential guests of a resort in Turkey will be able to request a booking through Instagram by posting an emoji.

People looking to book a holiday to Hillside Beach Club can show their #instantLOVE for the resort by visiting @HillsideBooking on Instagram and posting a ‘summer emoji’ in a comment on any images posted on the account.

Staff at the resort in Fethiye will then contact the user to complete the booking.

Introduction of the Instagram booking service coincides with the relaunch of the resort’s website at hillsidebeachclub.com.

Visitors to the site can now select a mood such as ‘enjoy the night, ‘all the family’, ‘in action’, ‘relax’ or ‘taste & joy’, and be provided with information on the resort’s facilities and offerings that cater to that theme.

The latest technology initiative follows the use of a ‘Beach Order App’ which enables holidaymakers to order drinks to the beach with a swipe of their thumb.

The app can be accessed from each of Hillside Beach Club’s three beaches using free Wi-Fi that is available throughout the resort.

A spokesman said: “Instagram is a highly valuable platform for engaging with prospective guests and we’re maximising opportunities to convert interest to bookings with our new Instagram booking service.

“For those looking for a more traditional booking method, we’ve just relaunched a more comprehensive website to help inform users of our offering, and make it easier to book a stay.

“We recognise the value and opportunities presented by modern technology, and are constantly seeking new ways to improve in this area and exceed guests’ expectations”.

Hillside Beach Club opens for the 2017 summer season on April 17.
