ArrivalGuides and Snowstorm collaborate to launch new agent selling platform to take on OTAs

Swedish travel destination content provider ArrivalGuides and Canadian technology firm Snowstorm Technologies have developed a new collaborative selling platform for agents.

The firms say Intrwiz will help agents take business back from online travel agents by enabling a collaborative, interactive interface between sales consultants and customers.

The platform provides travel agents with a set of online tools to communicate directly with clients in real-time.

An Intrwiz dashboard has been developed to allow users to manage their relationships and will also feedback data and business intelligence to the agency so it can make the most of every lead.

Riaz Pisani, founder and chief strategy officer of Snowstorm Technologies, said: “Because of the increasing need to share our experiences during the planning and purchasing process, we decided to create a platform that gives travel agents and their customers the ability to interact and purchase together.

“Intrwiz leverages the customer’s social network and encourages direct involvement from the travel agent to increase reach and maximize conversions while simultaneously providing full metrics and analytics on each lead. Once booked, the agent can easily manage the customer through the rest of their journey”.

ArrivalGuides’s content has been integrated into the Intrwiz platform to help agents inspire their clients and drive more sales.

Magnus Aideborn, founder and chief executive of ArrivalGuides, said: “We deliver destination content to more than 300 travel operators on a global scale, but this platform is the only one that truly integrates our content in a way that will drive sales”.

Intrwiz allows agents to integrate booking engines or select ‘Request to Book’ to route bookings through other channels. It also allows agents to upload any relevant edocs for their customers to read and fill in.

The system is configured for use on point of sale desktop or mobile and effectively creates a unique personalised website for each inquiry and booking through which all engagement can be viewed and reviewed.

Clients can use it to post trip ideas and wishes as well as live chat to their sales consultant throughout the research and booking process.

A control panel allows agents to customise the look and feel of the platform, choose email templates, view suppliers and booking engines and configure notification setting.

ArrivalGuides and Snowstorm are planning a phased roll out to travel agents before promoting the Intrwiz as a front-end tool for OTAs and destination management companies.

Offered as a Service as a Software product, Intrwiz costs $100 per month per agent.
