Improved car content is being provided by Expedia across its European websites.

This comes through a multi-year deal with leading connectivity provider of car content, Titanium Systems, trading as Car Rental Gateway.

The agreement complements an existing relationship with car hire distributor, Carnect.

Expedia Group’s relationship with Car Rental Gateway, which has more than 15 years of experience in car hire distribution technology, went live in January.

Group car strategy director, Corey Hance, said: “We provide rich content and information about our more than three hundred thousand hotel suppliers and 500 air partners, and we want to give consumers the same level of experience when it comes to car hire, so they can make informed choices.

“Our agreement with Car Rental Gateway provides us with better, more transparent car content, so we can deliver on our promise to provide travellers with the best choice and flexibility for their entire trip.”

Car Rental Gateway commercial director, Martin Kallasmaa, added: “Expedia’s mission is to revolutionise travel through the power of technology, and we share their passion for leveraging technology to make travel easier for people.

“Our aim is to revolutionise the car hire distribution industry with a technology driven approach and to deliver a wider and more personalised car offering to the market. Our cooperation with Expedia helps us spread this approach on a wider arena.”
