Car rental comparison site Rentcars.com has announced a string of new partnerships with European car rental agencies as it bids to go global.

Turisprime, Drive on Holiday, Auto Click and Cael, have all signed deals with the comparison site, which is based in Brazil.

It means Rentcars.com now has a foothold in Portugal, Spain, Italy and France.

The partnerships were signed at the International Tourism Trade Fair in Madrid and form part of the firm’s international rollout strategy.

Chief executive and founder Francisco Millarch, said: “The expectation for 2017 is to constantly seek opportunities to participate in fairs and events that allow networking with partner rental agencies and to seek new horizons.”
