A new-look Air Canada website claims an improved booking experience due to new digital solutions powered by Amadeus.

The revamped aircanada.com site features fewer steps to making bookings, including advanced eat selection.

A multi-airport search capability has been introduced together with enhanced site navigation and a choice of seven languages.

The responsive design delivers mobile and touchscreen-friendly use across devices.

The airline’s chief information officer, Lise Fournel, said: “Our vision was to give Air Canada customers the best online shopping experience possible while also advancing our future-focus on continued global expansion.

“Working in close partnership with Amadeus, this latest initiative gives us the technology foundation to deliver a best-in-class digital experience and will allow us to continue to grow and serve more travelers worldwide.”

The technology company’s North American airline IT chief commercial officer, Ilia Kostov, added: “Amadeus is enabling Air Canada to deliver on its strategy through a range of digital solutions. We are excited to enable this evolution of a personalised, engaging shopping experience for its customers.

“Our partnership with Air Canada is a testament to the value and services we are committed to delivering to airlines around the world.”
