A five-month project has started to migrate Irish independent operator Sunway Travel’s charter operation over to new technology.

The company’s charter business will be switched over to booking platform provider Intuitive’s iVector system.

The move will enable Sunway to create a new bookable agent website.

It will also provide Sunway with more product and pricing flexibility and deliver a seamless end-to-end operation, helping to deliver operational efficiencies.

Intuitive commercial director, Andy Keeley, said: “This partnership demonstrates the credentials of our underlying technology as well as our ability to design and implement bespoke technical solutions.

“Adding full charter package capabilities to iVector will further widen the appeal of our flexible reservation platform.

“Sunway are an impressive company with great product and they’ve identified improved technology as being a differentiator in their market.”

Sunway director Philip Airey added: “We’ve carried out a review of the tour operator reservation platform marketplace and are confident of our decision to implement the iVector platform for our business.

“The system is extremely capable and we’ve collaborated on a technical project that takes the best of their technology and overlays the core requirements for our charter business.”
