Cypriot leisure airline Cobalt is putting fares on sale via the online FindandBook system.

The distribution deal is timed to ensure the carrier’s summer fares to Cyprus will be available for sale.

Cobalt serves London, Manchester and Birmingham as well as from four airports in Greece and from Paris to Cyprus.

The airline has ambitious growth plans as it seeks to develop Cyprus as a hub between Europe and the Middle East and Asia.

FindandBook owner Paxport is prioritising the integration to ensure fares can soon be accessed by agents.

Paxport commercial director Mats Torebrandt said: “We are delighted that Cobalt recognises the distribution advantages provided by our online booking API FindandBook and we are extremely happy to support Cobalt in their growth strategy.

“Being Cobalt’s sole distribution aggregator at this point, as they do not distribute themselves through a GDS, this is an excellent addition to our wide variety of travel content for our customers.

“We see this as an important part of Paxport’s focus on merchandising distribution systems which includes providing relevant content to our customers in addition to aggregating and distributing fares and a wide range of ancillary services.”

Cobalt commercial director Maria Saparilla said: “We consider Paxport being our prioritised distribution partner because of their existing customer base, but also their merchandising ability that enables us to reach our customers with a large service portfolio with minimum impact on our own internal resource while at the same time maximising our revenues.

“The benefits of using Paxport FindandBook are considerable, not least in using their existing customer base in UK as well as Europe.”
