ViaMichelin signs major online deal with Auto Europe
Travel mapping giant ViaMichelin is to partner with the Auto Europe car hire group to provide interactive search and booking functionality.
Users on the ViaMichelin website will be able to search by town, address or postcode on its existing interactive map and locate the closest ten car hire outlets provided by Auto Europe..
The tool will be available via a car hire tag on the map.
Bookings will be made via a redirect to the Auto Europe website direct from the map.
Auto Europe sales director Tobias Ritter said: “This partnership underlines the commitment that we share with ViaMichelin to make independent travel a stress-free pleasure.”
The deal is a significant one for Auto Europe in the increasingly congested car hire sector, with ViaMichelin ranked second by ComScore in the most visited travel websites in Europe. In May this year it had 13.8 million unique users.
Paul Gilbert, marketing communications manager for ViaMichelin in the UK, added: “This partnership underlines the growing reputation of ViaMichelin.com as a leading travel portal and provides our customers with another valuable opportunity to ensure their travel arrangements run smoothly.”
